Leather Guide
Please find below all the leather textures and colors in which you can order any of our designs.
Plain Texture |
|
This is the most common leather texture for dress shoes. Our plain texture has a smooth finish known as aniline, a very light finish that keeps the natural leather grains intact and porous. This is part of the secret of the comfort of our shoes as it adds to their breath-ability. |

Granular Texture |
|
Granular or grained texture gives the leather a more casual touch. The leather quality and breath-ability is the same as plain texture. The difference is in the feel and look created artificially with a dye. |

Croc Imprinted Leather |
|
Croc imprinted leather is an artificial design embossed upon plain leather to give it the look and feel of crocodile skin. Real crocodile leather is not only greatly expensive, but also highly regulated due to crocodiles being an extinguishing species. |

Burnish Leather |
|
Burnish is a kind of finish that some also call patina. It is produced through immense skill at the finishing stage by waxing and polishing the leather for many hours in order to produce a two tone antique looking effect. The most common forms for men's dress shoes are black/maroon and black/brown. |

Patent Leather |
|
Patent leather is made when tanned leather is coated three times with a polyurethane/acrylic solution and then vacuum dried to seal the coating to the leather. Dye is added to the middle coat to give patent leather its shiny black look that is ideal for party wear. |
